CHILAW
St. Anne’s English Medium College saw the light of day in the city of Chilaw on Tuesday 10th January 2012, and the opening ceremony of the college was attended by the members of the local clergy together with some Marist and Christian Brothers and all other well-wishers of the vicinity. The prayer service was conducted by Rev. Fr. Tanter Fernando, the then Parish Priest of Bandarawatte. It is with great joy that I mention here our school had only four students at its inception. Now we have preschool grades from Play Group to Upper Kindergarten, whereas the primary section includes grades from Primary 01 to Primary 05. The secondary section commenced on the 23rd September 2013 with one student, and she was Miss Fathima Zainab Hasmar. Now we have classes from Grade 06 to Grade 12 in the secondary section.
