01. SATEd (St. Anne’s Teachers’ Education)
This is an in-service
teacher training programme which caters to the teaching needs of our staff.
This programme is especially designed to help them with their difficulties in
teaching modalities and understanding their students in the classroom. They are
also provided with opportunities to learn the English Language at these
training sessions.
02. MENU (Meal Enjoyed Never Uneaten)
In order to provide our
children with a wholesome diet during the interval each day, we have introduced
a special menu. Parents are expected to adhere to this menu without fail.
03. AIM (Annites In
Mediation)
This is a Teacher-Parent
committee headed by the principal. This was formed with a view to improving the
college public image in the area. The parent-members are either elected at a
parents’ general meeting or they will be appointed by the principal.
04. AID (Annites In Deliverance)
This is a programme which
helps our parents to educate their children at a half rate monthly fee. We have
selected some students for this purpose. They are being educated by us at a
half rate fee. Likewise, more children will be selected for this free education
system as the student population increases.
05.
HOPE (Help-oriented Project to Expedite)
This is a special programme
which has been implemented to cater to the needs of slow learners including
student counselling. We are closely dedicated to this cause.
06. WAND (We Annites
Never Divided)
A child who requires special
needs education is warmly welcome into our family of Annites. All the students,
irrespective of differences of their discernment and intelligence levels, are
equally received into our classrooms, and they are made to engage themselves in
normal learning activities of the classroom.
07. ABHOR (Annites Beyond Harassment Of Religion)
We keep our hands open to receive children of all the four main faiths in Sri
Lanka and elsewhere in the world. We teach our students to respect the religion
of their fellow student and in doing so they become more aware of the deep
truths about their own doctrines. We invariably join our hands with all
followers of other religions and provide opportunities for their children to make
their own religious observances at the start, in the middle and at the end of
any formal school day.
